25 Jan Winter Wedding Flowers
Getting married in the winter is becoming ever more popular. Brides may worry that there will be limited options when it comes to flowers that are available at this time of year. Far from it, there are many winter wedding flowers to choose from. Traditional flowers that are in season in the winter months are
Amaryllis, Anemone, Camellias, Casablanca Lilies, Forget-me-nots, Gardenias, Holly, Jasmine, Orchids, Mini Gerberas, Paper Whites, Poinsettias, Roses and Tulips.
As Billy Idol proclaimed, a white wedding is an apt choice for winter. Whilst keeping to solely white blooms looks stunning, a deep green foliage as a backdrop helps to show off the pure brilliance of white blooms. Mixing flower types also helps to further add contrast. A white wedding doesn’t have to consist solely of pure white blooms though. Another option is an “antique” white effect, comprising whites, creams, ivories and even pale pinks.
